Set default skins
Choose the fallback skin for players without a saved selection.
SkinsRestorer 15.12.6All platformsReviewed
Default skins apply during skin resolution. An explicit player selection takes priority over the fallback list.
Configure one default
- Create a custom skin named
lobby. - Edit the existing
storagesection.
storage:
defaultSkins:
enabled: true
applyForPremium: false
list:
- "lobby"- Run
/sr reloadon the server or proxy that owns storage. - Run
/skin clearwith a test player. - Reconnect and check the resolved skin.
With applyForPremium: false, players with an account skin keep that skin. Set it to true if the default must also apply to those players without a saved selection.
Use several defaults
Add more names to storage.defaultSkins.list. SkinsRestorer chooses a list entry at random. "<random>" requests a random recommended skin.
Recommended skins need api.fetchRecommendedSkins. If recommendations are unavailable, a random entry cannot provide one.
If the default does not appear
Check that the custom name exists with /sr info skin lobby. Remove the test player's saved selection with /skin clear. Then inspect proxy mode and advanced.disableOnJoinSkins.
For priorities and caching, read the skin lifecycle.
